Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

Monday, November 3, 2003

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Both husband and wife are now in Glory having never used them. But I still think it's a wise thing--and all the more so with each passing day.

Glad they never had to use them and hope we won't have to, either...thanks, Quix!

That's because "the news" is by definition the bad, the extraordinary, the wierd, the creepy. But the real world often doesn't map to "the news": it's more normal, more interesting, and far more accomodating than reporters and the media would have us believe.

Thanks for the balance; I'll refer back to your words next time I get worked up and start pinging around the room like a pinball!

Yes, there is some undue alarmism to be found. But I still read this thread for the nuggets of useful information and the open speculation on what might happen. Both have helped me to better discern what I believe the actual threats might be to me & my family and what we should do to prepare for them. I do tend to skip over those posts that I think are hoaxes or unimportant. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've made all the preparations I can for the emergencies we're likely to encounter. There's not much more I can do than that.

No one here is actually cowering in a bomb shelter with recirculated air and a hand cranked generator worrying about what "THEY" might do to his "precious bodily fluids" are they? I do think that some of the survivalist talk can seem a bit extreme to those who have never lived in a region commonly affected by floods, tornados, hurricanes, etc. It might even seem extreme to someone who grew-up in Tornado Alley but has never lived on a military base overseas during the Cold War or eight miles from the Pentagon on 9/11. I have lived in all of the above and am of the opinion that it is better to consider all the possibilities during the calm before the storm so that you can be as mentally and physically prepared as possible for whatever is most likely to happen where you live.

Don't worry: Matt. 6:25-34, but do be a good steward of what has been entrusted to you: Matt. 25:14-30, Proverbs 31:10-31.

...and I want to know what they are thinking about doing, even if unable to pull it off.

Absolutely!

It's not true," the official said when asked about the rumor. Traders cited the rumor as one reason why the dollar gained ground.

Could someone manipulate Wall Street by intentionally planting rumors? I don't know much financial stuff; it just seems Wall Street gets very jumpy & nervous whenever there is even a possibility that something, somewhere is different.

Isn't Gander the airport that allowed all the incoming planes from Europe to land on 9-11-01 due to the groundstop emergency?

I think so, and I think there was a military crash there a few years back; many killed. I'll keep looking.

Jan. 22 — LONDON (Reuters) - An outspoken Saudi prince said on Thursday he was under house arrest in Riyadh after Saudi agents drugged and abducted him from Switzerland because of his criticism of corruption and calls for democracy in the kingdom.

Saudi princes must have a tough time getting insurance...remember a few young princes who died in the desert or under other mysterious circumstances last year?!

It's right there on page two of the insurance application after the questions about smoking and skydiving: "Are you or have you ever been a member of the Saudi Royal Family? (If "yes" please provided details in the space below.)"

My opinion is that many of us don't trust the regular news media for providing us with up-to-date or non-biased information on this topic that we are seeking. We truly care about our country and our families and are intelligent enough to know there is information right in front of us that our Homeland Security isn't relaying nor paying attention to in many instances. I, for one, spend much time reading what the posts and comments of all of you who feel likewise. Thanks to all of you who are doing the research and posting. We are thankful for your diligent work.

Yes, I try to keep track of what the seer says. Was it the Iraq war that she had reservations about, or the overall war on terror? I think I recall Maria agreeing with JPII that the U.S. should not go to war with Iraq. Please correct me if I have this all wrong. Is that right? Also, there are 2 different schools of thought on Fatima...yes, Russia was consecrated...no, Russia was not...food for continuing thought.
