http://www.backstage.com/backstage/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=2071523 Ridge Putting Liaison in Hollywood
By Paul Bond
For more stories from The Hollywood Reporter Click Here
Tom Ridge said Thursday that he will station a team in Hollywood to act as a liaison between the entertainment industry and the Department of Homeland Security.
Secretary of Homeland Security Ridge, addressing a group of television executives in Beverly Hills, also suggested that Hollywood remain vigilant in light of terrorist threats leveled against it, even though there has been no recent evidence suggesting that Islamic terrorists are targeting the entertainment industry.
In this industry, Ridge said, "There's an openness, a diversity, and you reflect and affect the culture."
What radical Islamists "don't understand, don't tolerate and abhor, they destroy," he said. "The notion of New York, Washington, D.C., or Los Angeles being a potential target probably comes as no surprise."

Dummy, next time look at the number of the last post on the page and if necessary, go to the next page.
Do not Cuss Free Republic, cause it didn't post your message and then use the "Back Button" to post it again and yet again.

Oh wow, thank you so much. It's appreciated, believe me. :)

The stakes are high for the U.S. It is not just about Venezuela's oil, ALQaeda, or Bolivia's natural gas - it also has to do with mineral supplies in SA that are vital to US nuclear programs.
Chavez is up to speed on CIA ambitions and is thought to be aided by intelligence resources of a major power. (China)
He also has a potential ally in Bolivia, a key piece to the strategic map of South America.
It is rumored that political movementsare planning on putting a summit between Fidel, Hugo Chávez and Lula, in order to say: 'We are here, united against the aggression of U.S. imperialism.'"

Although I'm involved (tangentially) with Homeland Security, IMHO, this is not the forum to discuss means and methods. However, I suspect some of the posters are the real deal, given the caliber of FR posters.
Possible, probable, confirmed.

Not before we take up a big collection for your synapses and neurons which are gonna need some serious therapy if you attempt another summary.

Thanks Livius...we will ping you for the spanish translations. This thread has become a clearinghouse of sorts.
Chavez in Venezuela started making headlines not too long after 9/11 if I recall correctly, and Castro, dead or alive in Cuba has many wondering right now. It would be an open house in either locale for the terrorists I would imagine.

This is the suspected "prediction of 9/11" message from 9/10/01:
http://web.archive.org/web/20010911215029/bbs.msnbc.com/bbs/msnbc-world/posts/oc/738258.asp HORROR MOVIE, IT'S THE 6.30 NEWS !...........
WORLD WAR 3 IS NOW VERY CLOSE, JEANNIE
The poster is suppose to be the same one posting as EOM now. EOM has also been traced to other posting alias.
Enough evidence has been gathered and trace to hold up in court at this point. More details will be released when able.

I'm a Spanish translator, and if anybody needs anything translated from Spanish (or Catalan), let me know. I'm off and on most of the day. If it's really urgent, FReepmail me in a private reply.
Bump to that!
More on Cuba/Venezuela, see post 11,756.

This thread is now over 12k replies. I've been reading the thread for the last month. I wanted to post at reply 400, then #1000.
It's gone on so long now that I feel ALL FReepers should at least post ONCE to this thread in an attempt to determine demographic of FR
GO W (you're doing a pretty good job)
To: nw_arizona_granny
I'm sorry, did you double post? I thought you were just lending strong emphasis to your words.
I didn't see a double post :)

Police allege 28-year-old Mark John Avery found the recipe for the bomb on the Internet. They allege he bought the ingredients, including ammonium nitrate fertilizer, from swimming pool supply shops, hardware stores and shops selling agricultural supplies.
I'll be staking out my local Leslie Pool Supply and ACE hardware store. ..jk

Do you remember the section of this thread on LA and the Staples Center (was that back in the 600s?)...and the airport location and the distance between the water and the Staples Center? The demographics alone make it a target, put the Hollywood movie industry in the area and it's a highlighted target...you want bellydancers, you got them on the big screen in technicolor.
Ridge's Hollywood team is going to have a hard time keeping their eyes on the ball.
To: Calpernia
Doesn't that go back to the Skyhook Australia connection?
