Company Eyes Toilet Paper of the Future
Process engineer Celeste Osborne performs a test on tissue paper at the Potlatch plant in Lewiston, Idaho, Sept. 30, 2003. The test is designed to see if the tissue paper will dissolve in 60 seconds or less, to prevent clogging of septic systems. Potlatch Corp. is a dominant bathroom tissue producer in the West, producing house-brand tissue for Albertson's, Safeway, Fred Meyer, Vons, Jewel and other grocery store chains.
