For 15 years I lived in a little house where our only heat source was a wood stove. It is such a luxury now to just turn the thermostat for central AC or heat.

It was a hoot to discover that we had been serious polluters rather than saviors of the earth's resources. I stopped my allegiance to environmentalism pretty quickly after that.
