I had to replant my rose pot and all, doing a 'soft plant' deal.
A huge hole partially filled with medium bark mulch chunks filling most of the hole around the pot, some dirt on top of that to the edge of the pot, and then some mulch on top of that to a depth of three inches.
It's a temporary planting, largely due to the fact that I couldn't get it out of it's pot.
And due to the pot I had to use the bark chunks to make it easier to get back out when the time comes.
Hopefully it'll live.
But I was skeptical that it'd live in a pot, but it did.

Did it live over the Winter or did I miss something, again?

It sounds like it's doing ok.. Are you putting the pot in the garage again this winter?
I got that Tea Rose a couple of years ago, (from someone I didn't know) and planted it in the garden, and you wouldn't believe how well it is doing. It's growing real bushy, and blooms all summer long..and so prolific. Such a deal.. yanowhatimean?
