I had to replant my rose pot and all, doing a 'soft plant' deal.
A huge hole partially filled with medium bark mulch chunks filling most of the hole around the pot, some dirt on top of that to the edge of the pot, and then some mulch on top of that to a depth of three inches.
It's a temporary planting, largely due to the fact that I couldn't get it out of it's pot.
And due to the pot I had to use the bark chunks to make it easier to get back out when the time comes.
Hopefully it'll live.
But I was skeptical that it'd live in a pot, but it did.

Yes she did smooch herself. I saw that but wasn't going to point it out. So glad you did. :)

Did it live over the Winter or did I miss something, again?

Omygoodness.. I'm out of my mind.. That was meant for Darks.. I never even noticed that.. It's hell to get senile, simple, and semi-retarded..

We get a lot of rain, but it usually just drizzles down...This kind of rain next month probably wouldn't be a problem. Would come down as snow up in the mountains and the rivers wouldn't flood until maybe in the Spring....

......Westy......

So you are really having your Spring weather now? Uh-oh. You know when you guys start having weird weather, it comes to the rest of us about mid-Winter, doesn't it? Seems to me it takes that long for weirdness to start. The last time y'all had all that flooding, we had Thanksgiving tornados.

My rose lived overwinter.
I was forced to dig it up in early summer due to a F***wad claiming he had to dig where I had it planted.
He didn't.
It's an odd rose to begin with, it will continue to try and bloom and grow all winter.
It's given me trouble every year every winter.
Near died on me twice.
And has come back every time.
It's still alive, and I had to toss it into the ground again.
We were supposed to move, but teh deal fell through.
*sigh*
Hence the 'soft burial' of the pot.

You're not senile, that's just the influence of the Dark Field.
You have now entered 'The Zone'.

Oh, okay, it's making it then. Good. I have no luck with roses. My Bess says if we'd stay home long enough we might have pretty things too. LOL. She's reading over my shoulder. I asked her to just go get a chair. LOL. Might as well.:)

It sounds like it's doing ok.. Are you putting the pot in the garage again this winter?

I got that Tea Rose a couple of years ago, (from someone I didn't know) and planted it in the garden, and you wouldn't believe how well it is doing. It's growing real bushy, and blooms all summer long..and so prolific. Such a deal.. yanowhatimean?

Val, Bess won't me scoll past your picture. Says it reminds her of where she grew up. :)She came in here to bring me a handful of pills and isn't leaving. ROFLOL. Says to tell you hello. I'm telling her to just take over and talk if she likes. :) She told me to hush. We are fighting, no one here but the two of us and I guess it's too quiet.
