The extremist Antifa collective CrimethInc is promoting April 15 as “Steal Something from Work Day.”
They reference a recent California warehouse arson attack that caused over $600 million in damages, framing embezzlement from your employer as the “moderate option” for revenge against capitalism.
Most of CrimethInc's accounts were banned from X shortly after Elon Musk's acquisition for promoting violence, but they continue operating on Instagram, spreading radical and often violent propaganda.

The real book by Abbie Hoffman called Steal This Book gave specific store tips on stealing that book and other things as a Yippie protest.
The 1960s....
Abbie Hoffman’s 1971 counterculture guide Steal This Book was famously, and intentionally, stolen by thousands of readers, resulting in many bookstores refusing to carry it.
The book, which advocated stealing from “the Pig Empire” (the establishment), sold over 250,000 copies, though the exact number stolen remains unknown.
Hoffman argued it was immoral not to steal from a corrupt establishment, making theft a central theme and marketing tactic.
Because of the rampant shoplifting encouraged by the title, many bookstores refused to stock the book.
The book served as a guide for the “hippie” movement, offering tips on how to obtain free food, housing, transportation, and other services.
Despite the high theft rate, the book was a commercial success, selling over 250,000 copies between April and November 1971.
Over 30 publishers initially refused to publish the book before it was finally released.

This didn’t used to be as much of a problem back when our response to crime was arresting them and forcing them to turn great big rocks into little bitty rocks in the middle of the day under sweltering sunlight.
Served as a good motivational tool to do a little better.
Stealing from work is a good way to get fired. A guy at my local grocery store was fired 2 weeks ago for stealing a single can of beer. I guess they would then find that the minimum wage is zero.
