On March 28 2026, Cuban Heritage LA organized a rally demanding freedom for Cuba, an end to Cuba’s 67-year-long Communist dictatorship, and support for the Cuban people enduring political repression and economic privation. The rally took place at the Federal Building at the corner of Wilshire Blvd. and Veteran Ave. in the Los Angeles community of Westwood.

Obviously not a Soros sponsored event.
I thought the left liked Communism? Now they want Cuba to be free?
Why not hold your rally in Cuba?
I don’t think these are ‘the left’.
I think this group is akin to the Cuban exile organizations in Florida.
The left didn't stage this rally. Supporters included the Beverly Hills Freedom Rally, SoCal Patriots, SoCal Trump Train, We the People Orange County, and other patriotic groups. Supporters of GOP gubernatorial hopeful Chad Bianco also appeared in the video.
For the same reason you don't see rallies demanding freedom in Beijing or Pyongyang.
I’m trying to figure out how the US is even involved in this. We could care less if their people demand their government to be a free one. That’s up to them. It would make things a lot easier for the Cuban citizens, but the US doesn’t demand that action.
Why don’t they have a rally for the eradication of the homeless problem in the US. That we have a say in.

“Why not hold your rally in Cuba?”
I will never, ever understand protesting against a foreign country in the U.S. What does it accomplish? Can you imagine Americans protesting against America in a foreign country?
People seem to have forgotten a lot of the history of the Cuban revolution and the exiles who landed here.
(I’m sure Obama and his ilk are pleased...)
As President Trump said, this regime has got to go, and my hat is off to the protesters who are rallying public opinion to back President Trump's Cuba policy and end Havana's odious regime.
“People seem to have forgotten a lot of the history”
Please tell me what my comment has to do with the history of Cuba. I am very well aware of the history of Cuba. I wish we would take them over and investors would revitalize the country with all my heart. That was not my point at all. My point was, what good does it do for foreigners to protest their country in my country?
“Are you aware that Cuba is ruled by a repressive Communist dictatorship that served as a Soviet base for three decades?”
Please see my post 13 where I replied to someone else who totally missed the point of my post. Thanks.
You assume they’re all ‘foreigners’?
Many are probably beneficiaries of the Cuban Adjustment Act.
You don’t realize that if they went to Havana to protest, they’d be ‘disappeared’?
And you don’t believe there is any value in arousing international disapprobation over the regime’s treatment of the Cuban people?
“And you don’t believe there is any value in arousing international disapprobation over the regime’s treatment of the Cuban people?”
No. There is no value in protesting Cuba in the U.S., just as there is no value in protesting for/against: Israel, Palestinians, Mexicans, Iranians, etc. etc. They all have countries to which they can go and protest. Leave mine alone.
A lot of the consortium participating in the LA rally ARE composed of your fellow citizens.
But you believe their freedom of speech should be interfered with because you disagree with them.
Got it.
“A lot of the consortium participating in the LA rally ARE composed of your fellow citizens.

Please point out exactly where I said that they should be interfered with or prohibited from protesting. People make up arguments in their own heads that don’t exist. I said it’s useless and they all need to go back to their own countries and protest. That’s all I said. MY true fellow citizens do not have any reason to protest for foreign countries.
You said you didn’t want this protest in YOUR country. But it’s THEIR country, too. Even many who fled Cuba, or their children, are naturalized, and just as much a citizen as you are. And do you think the ones associated with U.S. Patriot and Pro-Trump groups should go to Havana, too?
Looking at your posting history, you seem to be just an unpleasant complainer, and intolerant of any belief or effort you don’t share.
I don’t have any more time for your nonsense.
“you seem to be just an unpleasant complainer,”
You don’t know the half of it.
“I don’t have any more time for your nonsense.”
Of course you don’t.
Just a rhetorical question; if they’re are as much a citizen as I am, why are they protesting for foreign countries? Personally, no one I know protests for foreign countries. Strange.
