They also say cardiac arrest was mentioned. So maybe he was strangling her and they'll have bruising or something, but if they were having a loud argument which was heated but not physical and her heart gave out then what can they charge him with?

They'll look around, figure it out. If the place is trashed and she has bruises all over her, he's probably cooked. Otherwise, bad timing for a sudden death.
