Summary
The video is a commentary about a large-scale COVID-era welfare fraud case in Minnesota involving the Somali community.Key points covered:
- Nearly 90 individuals (mostly Somali) have been charged with embezzling up to $1 billion (some estimates claim up to $8 billion) in government funds intended for child nutrition, homeless services, and autistic children. Prosecutors allege none of the intended beneficiaries received aid; money was used for luxury cars, mansions, and overseas real estate.
- The host accuses Somali fraudsters of intimidating investigators by threatening racism accusations and lawsuits.
- Connections are drawn to Minnesota Democratic figures: some convicted fraudsters donated to Rep. Ilhan Omar, Gov. Tim Walz, and AG Keith Ellison (donations were later returned by Omar).
- Clips are shown from a Face the Nation segment where Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent (under the incoming Trump administration) discusses an ongoing investigation into the fraud and tracking of laundered money sent overseas via unregulated wire services.
- Ilhan Omar is interviewed on the same program; she returns donations, calls the fraud reprehensible, claims she urged investigation years earlier, says Somalis are also victims as taxpayers, and accuses the Trump administration of racist targeting and dehumanizing rhetoric.
- The host strongly criticizes Omar’s responses as evasive and victim-playing, labels criticism of the investigation as deflection, accuses Minnesota Democratic leadership of complicity and suppressing oversight, and asserts the fraud was enabled for political gain.
- Additional points: some fraud suspects had prior deportation orders or criminal records; the host alleges funds may have supported terrorism (unproven in the discussed clips); Stephen Miller’s immigration comments are defended against Omar’s Nazi comparisons.
- The commentary frames the entire issue as evidence of immigrant communities exploiting American generosity, Democratic corruption, and media bias in downplaying the story.

Her excuse was there weren’t enough guardrails in place. Translation: “It’s your fault because you didn’t stop me.”

Somalis in the U.S. are heavily concentrated in Minnesota, especially the Twin Cities (Minneapolis-St. Paul), home to the nation’s largest Somali population, often called “Little Mogadishu,” but significant communities also exist in Ohio, Washington, and California, with smaller pockets in places like New York and Boston. They initially settled in large numbers in Minnesota due to tax-paid refugee resettlement programs, creating strong community networks.
Key Locations:
Minnesota (Largest Hub): The Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis is a major center, attracting many Somalis seeking family and support systems.
Other States: Ohio (Columbus), Washington (Seattle area), and California (San Diego, Sacramento) have sizable populations, often formed by secondary migration from Minnesota or direct settlement.
Northeastern Cities: New York City and Boston also host Somali communities.
Why Minnesota?
Refugee Resettlement: Minnesota became a primary destination for Somali refugees fleeing civil war, famine, and instability starting in the 1990s.
Support Networks: Strong resettlement agencies, established Somali communities, and economic opportunities drew them in and helped them stay.

Don't leave out the POS AG Keith Ellison. He called Trump a bigot for his statement on
the Somali fraud schemes. Ellison is a dirt bag.

She learned 2 things from her first husband: fraud, and racism.

I have a long time friend who had to relocate to Minneapolis for business purposes. He was there for two years and hated the people, the politics and the political leaders. He is glad he is back.
