Exactly what can anyone do about “affordability?”

It’s an opinion, that’s all. Or a tactic.

It does seem like affordability is a new key word in our politics.

We need to be able to discuss the issue. As far as how it aligns in our politics, this can be used against Democrats.

For example, in talking about housing affordability, California probably has the least affordable housing in America. The state of California is run by Democrats.

New york City is dominated by Democrats. And is very expensive also. We can make the case that places run by Democrats tend to be more expensive to live in. There tend to be more laws and regulations which increase the cost of housing in these areas.

If Democrats want to have this debate, we have ammunition on our side to cope with this issue.

Well we complained about it plenty when Biden was President. Now all of a sudden we’re not supposed to talk about it.

“Exactly what can anyone do about “affordability?””

For one, balance the federal budget (at the very least propose one at the White House...WH budget proposals are non-binding and cost nothing & would drive the Dems nuts!). Decreased deficits/money printing reduces inflation.

Then there are those blanket tariffs to talk about...
