These guys are clever.

Brandon inflates cost of goods and service to a rate not seen since jimmah while congress p!sses off enough money for the national debt to pile up to > 38 Trillion (with a T). Powell keeps interest so high that the interest payable on the national debt is about 1.6 Trillion per year…….

But the DS, Dems & MSM are framing the problem as “Affordability under Trump”

By FAR the largest issue with affordability is the magnitude of taxes levied by governments.

Taxes never seem to go down and there is little choice of not paying.

Well little boy, when you are starting out, not much is affordable. Not until years of saving and budgeting take place.

“Gen Z voters’ struggles with unemployment”

Hey Nikki, finish kicking out 30,000,000 illegal aliens and terminate the H1-B program with no new renewals for existing foreigners ...

that’ll fix both the unemployment issue AND the affordability issue, because USA wages will HAVE to rise due to the new labor shortage ...

Maybe the solution is getting a job and getting focused. Nah, that would never work.

Your life is what you make of it kid. Go help yourself instead of asking for a hand-up. The majority of people in this country never had that, but still made a living, and lived within their means. I’m a 78 year old woman who’s been divorced for 46 years. I never owned a home, although when my kids were little, I would have loved one so we wouldn’t have had to move so often, but I couldn’t afford the down payment, the mortgage, or the maintenance at the time. By the time I could afford a home, my sons were getting ready to leave the nest, so I didn’t need or want the responsibility of a home. And now that I’m old, I’m glad I never owned one.

Young voters need to realize the truth that what the Democrats offer is totalitarian authoritarian fascism — Red Fascism.

Don’t vote for Red Fascism because the last Red Fascist administration caused the pain you’re experiencing now during an anti-fascist administration.

From the comments here, I think the message is getting lost.

What do I think the message is? Politicians who want to keep the "Business As Usual" train running down the track aren't getting the traction they want. People of all ages want actual change in the process with better results, not more of the same.

Can we get to the root problem? A while ago a chart was posted on one of the FR threads showing federal and state spending as a percentage of GDP (1929 to 2019). Up until 1965. the total was about 25%, except for WW II. Since then it's gone up, with a number of 48.7% in 2019.

The difference was that in 1965, one income in a traditional nuclear family could provide a comfortable middle-class life. And when did we start to need DINK to make middle class? About the same time.

The message is clear; more government creates less affordable culture. Can we get government spending under control? So far, the politicians who promise change seem to win elections; at some point the voters need to demand results. Voting for a different politician next time is not paying off.
