We owe them NOTHING. We have given and given, tried to save them from themselves but they just want to be who they really are and financed by US.
Send them ALL back.
Agreed. I’m thinking of a good friend of mine, a solid professional who with his wife raised three kids. Good home life, small town, sports, involvement, love, support, etc. The two eldest have done just fine as adults. The youngest, now 32, lives at his parent’s home, glued to the internet, gaming, drugs, etc. Won’t work. Flunked out of college, mismanaged every dimension of life. My friend and his wife have been distraught for years, and this man has now injected his destructive life into theirs, apparently permanently. Their lives, as they head into retirement, are a living hell as a result. I see a parallel: We can guide, we can support, but we should never forego our lives (or our nation) for a person or a people who can, but won’t, take care of themselves.
