Big picture is AI will not be stopped. Every Government is racing to ride it. We need to dominate it or it will dominate us. Al will take more and more power. One look at what has happened to memory prices tells the story. The idiot left has tried to hobble energy production at a time when energy demand is going to surge like never before.

It was your party, Amy, that inisted that "green renewable energy" replaced transditionl sources and that additional ifrateuctue expenditures has caused these problem ffor which you are now speaking about.

Electric cars, and especially busses, added to the problem & AI has really added to the problem. But they are not the only things impacting it. Making people get rid of natural gas energy use also played a role. Because now home & businesses are being outfilled with more electrical use.

Quit gaslighting that Trump is the reason for this situation.

Aw, c’mon. PBS assured me, just yesterday, that renewables were now the cheapest forms of energy. These claims were interspersed with videos of coal plants being dynamited ...no connection...

The graph represents the average past due bill, not the cost of electricity.
If you are behind on your bills, of course the past-due balance is going to increase.

My monthly bill for gas and electric hasn’t changed, and I pay my bill on time every month.

It’s not that the prices are going up. It’s the value of the currency is declining faster than Americans’ earnings.

Deficit spending and a fiat currency are devaluing the currency faster than it can be earned.

Looks like the surge started in 2022.

That was Joe Biden’s curve.

Amy (if I only had a brain) Klobuchar is a perfect example of cronyism, rampant in the democrat party for decades.
Her dad was a well connected democrat columnist for the Mpls. StarTribune, and a good friend of Hubert Humphrey.
She was groomed for, and awarded the Senate seat because of this connection.
She’s about as dumb as a stump, and would be an office girl at a paper company, if not for Jim’s connections.
She’s been a plague on Minnesota for several years now.

And the POTUS bears zero responsibility for what Albany has done to the state of NY’s energy consumers.

But will soneone ask Klobuchar th8s question, cuz I bet her answer would be instructive...

Would she support a ban on foreign ownership of US utility companies?

Inquiring minds want to know, Klobuchar...

I got a feeling that this is a “problem” that free markets could “solve” far, far more efficiently than a command economy.

Let anyone who wants to produce and sell electricity be allowed into the market, with adequate safety and environmental protections, let anyone who wants to purchase electricity be allowed to at market prices.

Naturally, in OurGreatDemocracy™ safety and environmental claims are a smoke screen for Rousseauian luddite demands, and free markets are abhorred because they do not allocate resources “equitably”.

Some hack assistant gave it to her and she ran with it.
