Is there a good personal injury lawyer in the house? Because anyone listening to Maria Cardona this morning might have suffered a bad case of whiplash.

In a neck-straining nanosecond on CNN This Morning, Cardona, a Democrat strategist who doubles as a CNN commentator, went from piously proclaiming that the Epstein matter "should be about the survivors, this shouldn't be political," and then straight to trying to pin all the blame on the Republicans.

After saying that "the problem has become political not because of Democrats," Cardona proceeded to parrot the Democrat talking point that President Trump could have already released the files without the need for congressional action. Host Audie Cornish pitched in to second Cardona's notion: "Right: it's within his power."

You’ll notice the Republicans folded quick and voted to get Epstein out of the way and pass the buck to the White House, the CIA, the DOJ and whoever else gets in the way on the Epstein Files.

LOL - that discharge petition was a Dem operation. It may have been filed by Massie but it was pretty much entirely the Dem caucus that moved it forward. They were even accusing Republicans during the shutdown saying they were keeping the House out of session to avoid passing their bill and not swearing in another Dem member to sign the discharge petition.

But it was the “Republicans” who made it political per this panel.

This is pretty well proof they only wanted the narrative of this bill - the story they were wanting to run was about “Republicans vote to cover up pedophile ring” and instead Trump just called their bluff and it passed almost unanimously...so they have attempted to improvise with this new attempt to spin the story since the intended narrative did not materialize.
