Tucker Carlson mounted a full-throated defense of New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani (D) in Thursday morning’s edition of the former Fox News host’s newsletter.
Under the sub-header, “Jews for Mamdani,” Carlson wrote the following:
"You saw the campaign attacks against Zohran Mamdani.
He’s a socialist! True.
He’s a communist! Possibly true.
He’s an antisemite! Wait, what?
Is the incoming mayor a fan of Israel? Does he want America to fight its wars? Not particularly. But a Jew hater? That’s a different conversation. We’ve never seen anything to suggest he falls into that ugly camp. Because he doesn’t. He plainly said so yesterday, during his victory speech, and numerous times throughout the summer and fall.
That didn’t stop the ethno-narcissists from slandering him as some sort of dark force plotting to install the Fourth Reich in America’s largest city."
Carlson went on to argue that “The Jewish voters who backed Mamdani did so because they knew the antisemite attacks were lies. They had the brains to see through the bullshit,” and that “America’s Israel First caucus needs antisemitism.”

I read Tucker’s excerpts and expected the worst but, honestly, I don’t understand all the hysteria. Nowhere did Tucker Carlson define antisemitism as not including “wanting to murder and genocide Jews”. I’m starting to get a little irritated with the over the top hyperbole from Mark Levin, Isaac Schorr, David Reaboi, and others. Tucker raises some valid points. One-third of Jewish voters voted for Mamdani...they voted for someone who wants to exterminate them?!
Next thing you know he will go back to wearing a bow tie and end up at MSNBC, PBS, or CNN.

Never seen anyone grind his credibility into the dust as quickly as Tucker has. Next he’ll be joining Bill Kristol and saying he wishes he could have voted for Mamdani.

I don’t know much about this Mamdani character. But I sure don’t have any inclination to defend him.
With regard to communism, I think Israel is basically inclined in that direction.
Is Mamdani more communist than he is Islamist?
