Yeah, nothing like communicating with seldom used words.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Gives an incentive to those with limited vocabularies to enhance their communication skills!
I had a friend who would consult an unabridged dictionary once each day, then work an obscure word into a conversation. He enjoyed the eye-rolls.
DeSantis might be a good cabinet member, but he just doesn’t have the charisma to be a presidential candidate.
They are often prolix and orotund.
veritably
Agree, he doesn't want everything he does reversed immediately. I like J.D. and I like that he is out there speaking and answering questions so people can get comfortable with him. Most VP's aren't very public and if when they are they act stupid and do nothing, Kamala comes to mind.
Nixon 1960
As I recall, TR did endorse Taft 1908 (not VP Fairbanks) but did run against him 1912.
Martin Van Buren 1836
John Adams 1796
DeSantis’s term as gov. ends in 2026. By election year 2028, he will be forgotten and Vance and Rubio will be the front runners.....Puissance be damned....(whatever the hell that means)
That was then. This is now. When the facts change, opinions change. JD was not a DJT fan nice upon a time

I also had a friend who was fond of using words no one else in our gang knew the meaning of. This was when we were all in our late teens. He did it just to get a rise out of us, but a few, including me, actually took it as a challenge and damn if it didn’t become helpful and interesting!
It burns to see how often words like “bombshell” is used in headlines. The vocabulary span of journalism is surprisingly limited.
