If your loyalty is outside the US you're not fit to serve in government

What do the following all have in common?

Ilhan Omar

Pramila Jayapal

Zohran Mamdani

Rashida Tlaib

They're all foreign born and they all hate America.

In the past immigrants came to this country with only the promise of opportunity. They were not promised economic support, SNAP or food stamps. They toiled long and hard. They assimilated into the American fabric. My parents were part of that.

Now an alarming trend is ongoing. It is the election of foreign born to government. Foreigners are coming here solely for the freedom and the economic support. Worse, they refuse to assimilate. Some, as seen in Dearborn, seek to remake the country in the structure of where they came from but taking advantage of the freedom and acceptance here.

They have no intention to assimilate. There is no loyalty to America and many come right out and say it.

Ilhan Omar claims she longs to return to Somalia

Her admitted loyalty is to Somalia

Another Somali, this one a state rep from Maine, has only Somalia as her concern:

Yet another Somali in the Maine state House is totally ungrateful:

And then there's the case of Omar Fateh who is running for Mayor of Minneapolis. He was born in the US but refers to Somalia as "home." In a rally he waves the Somali flag and pledges his allegiance to Somalia.

Not long ago he suggested his white colleagues on Minnesota Senate floor were terrorists.

Picking up on the pattern here yet?

When Rashida Tlaib was first elected, she draped herself in a Palestinian flag.  Since then she has gotten shrill and unendingly vulgar. Here she makes clear the plan:

Make it illegal for all Americans and it will become a moot point for office holders.

So why your interest in these 89 purely American citizens, and not the actual dual citizens sitting in Congress?

So regarding my #13 for which I have evidence, and your number 14 which is evidence free, and allowing for all the other argumentation along the way, can you point to a single U.S. / Israeli dual citizen congressperson? Ever?

Grok:

“ No, there has never been a verified U.S. congressperson or senator who held dual U.S.-Israeli citizenship while serving in office. Claims suggesting otherwise are longstanding conspiracy theories, often rooted in antisemitic tropes, that falsely equate Jewish heritage or support for Israel with automatic Israeli citizenship. These myths typically list Jewish members of Congress (e.g., Sen. Chuck Schumer or Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz) without evidence of Israeli citizenship. Fact-checkers like PolitiFact and Snopes have repeatedly debunked them as “Pants on Fire” false.
Israel’s Law of Return allows Jews worldwide to immigrate and apply for citizenship, but it requires an active process (e.g., expressing intent to settle permanently) and does not confer automatic status upon visiting or being Jewish. No U.S. member of Congress has been born in Israel (per Senate records), and none have publicly confirmed or been documented as pursuing Israeli citizenship.
Why the Claims Persist
• No Disclosure Requirement: Congress does not mandate reporting dual citizenship, leading to speculation. Bills like the Dual Citizenship Disclosure Act (H.R. 7484, 2023–2024) have been proposed but not passed.
• Misinformation Lists: Viral posts (e.g., from 2015–2024) name dozens of Jewish lawmakers but provide zero proof. These often include outdated or retired members and ignore that Israel bars dual citizens from its own Knesset.
• Specific Denials: Figures like Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Schumer have explicitly denied Israeli citizenship when questioned.
Comparison to Other Dual Citizenships
Unlike confirmed cases of dual citizenship with countries like Canada (e.g., Sen. Ted Cruz, 2013–2014) or Thailand (e.g., Sen. Tammy Duckworth, ongoing), no Israeli examples exist in public records. As of November 2025, the 119th Congress has 10 Jewish senators and 25 Jewish House members, but none are documented as dual Israeli citizens.
In summary, while dual citizenship is legal for Congress (per the Constitution’s Article I qualifications), no evidence supports any U.S.-Israeli cases. If new transparency laws pass, this could change, but current facts show zero instances. ”

I hate the fact that Grok quotes Snopes, a wacked out leftist neighbor of mine.

The only Israeli-American even ever running for Congress I recall is the Ethiopian-Israeli-American who lost in the Santos NYC district. I thought there was an Israeli-American woman who ran for Congress from Florida but can’t find a reference to her.

Possibly.

I’m trying to put the genie of #13 back in its bottle politely if possible. Impolitely if necessary.

Since you seem to not be reading or are ignoring FReepmail, here it is in the clear:

Please retract your #12 publicly and in stream to correct the record. That information is now known by you and me to be false.

That’s the simple, easy and gentlemanly thing to do. It corrects the record so that known misinformation is not further propagated.

The less pleasant option is for you to stick by your original post #12 as truth. That will not go well. I will bring to everyone’s attention your sticking with the lie.

You and I haven’t had any run in’s over the years. I don’t have you on my radar as a bad guy.

But I’m not going to let a lie stand. Please take care of it in a gentlemanly fashion, and we’ll move on.

Please confirm receipt.

Yeah, his first example, US senator Dick Blumenthal, is NOT a dual citizen, as far as I can tell.

Out-and-out lie.

I agree 100%.

I remember, a few years ago there was Ignazio Cassis, the first Swiss cabinet minister who was the son of Italian immigrants.
He held dual citizenship in his youth, but renounced his Italian one when he was appointed to the Cabinet.

This was good and necessary👍🏻

If you’re in Congress, you have to be loyal to your district of the United States. If instead you’re loyal to a foreign nation, then you don’t belong in Congress. But that’s a choice, not an automatic assumption. Ilhan says her primary loyalty is to Somalia, so she does not belong in Congress.

She does not belong in the US, because her immigration was based on fraudulent statements, which is another matter.

If despite also being a Somali citizen, she still is loyal to the US, and that’s reflected in her words and deeds, it’s ok for her to have affection for her native country as well, so long as she governs as a loyal American. but that’s not the case.

In my own case, I have dual citizenship in both the US and Israel, and I have great affection for the US even though I live in Israel. If Israel were at war with the US, I’d have to choose sides, but that’s a mere hypothetical that doesn’t concern me. The possibility is too remote, and I’m too old to join either army anyway.

Conversely, we have in Israel famous Russian expats in the Knesset and in the government, and without exception they are loyal Israelis, having fought long and hard to defect from the Rodina and get to Israel. Two of them are famous physicists. I’ve met one, Herman Branover, while he was on a speaking tour of the US, back when I lived there. I also read one of his books.
