With the potential Democratic Party field made up of weak candidates like Pritzker, Newsom, Harris etc, JD looks very good to win in 2028.

I like our chances.
I’d vote for a J.D. Vance/Byron Donalds team.
History favors Vance, but only as a single termer.
Has anyone ever served two terms as Veep who has gone on to serve two terms as the Pres?
Rubio has been a pleasant surprise. I see it this way, Vance is stronger for the Primary but Rubio is much stronger for the general. I don’t completely trust Rubio but it is vitally important to win 28 it as important as 24 IMHO. We are still at the crossroads.
Only 4, elected to both, not inherited, and 2 of those were not immediately following.
Nixon would be the closest to do that. Not 2 full terms, of course.
Prixster should be in prison for his assault on the Federal officers.
Yep.
Richard Nixon served two terms as Vice President of the United States under President Dwight D. Eisenhower, from January 20, 1953, to January 20, 1961 (covering Eisenhower’s full).
A great line for the Republican canidate would be, “DO NOT let Newsom do to the United States what he did to California” and then list his many failures. The add writes itself with Newsom’s actions and words.
Except that history is in the past and we know not of the future.
Vance/Rubio ticket or vise versa, would be happy with either one
No to Donalds.
I'd vote for that, and there was a time over the years, when Rubio was in the Senate, that I wouldn't have said that.
Ditto! Though we have an embarrassment of riches on our side
Same here.
Vance / Fetterman (ducking....)
