Attempted murder (ORS 163.115): If the attempt is made while people are aboard the helicopter, a person could be charged with attempted murder. This is supported by a 2023 case in Oregon where an off-duty pilot who tried to disable a plane’s engines mid-flight was charged with 83 counts of attempted murder.
Just get as many as they can and throw the book at them. Attempted murder is not a light crime and bail is going to be a lot different.

That is a serious federal charge along with whatever conspiracy charges that can be tacked on. They would probably end up doing less time if they hit an officer with a bat.

Why bother when cluster munitions work so much better and can be fired from 10s of miles away.
Whatever happened to good old fashioned obstruction of justice charges?
Look at the link I posted , put the rifles on drones and fly them over the area each drone has a 2000 meter radius of if you shine a laser at a help a 338 or 50 cal round is coming your way.
For city work the guided 50 cal round homing on a laser from either the drone itself or from a 3rd party designator like a Argus drone or a Reaper extends the range to 4000+ meters and it homes on running and moving targets.
