Vanity: Background on How the Des Moines School Board Hired an Illegal Alien as Superintendent
Vanity ^

Posted on 09/26/2025 6:21:51 PM PDT by TigerClaws

Trying to find out information about how Des Moines hired an illegal alien with a criminal history, Ian Robert’s, as leader of its schools.

One comment online said rhe board voted him in during a closed session after being made aware of his illegal status.

Link shows he highlighted his immigrant background in his bio and the public announcement was done in English and then in Spanish to local media. It’s also an educationally failing school district.

Any locals with info please share. It’s a key state for national elections.

“ Lots of kids with unstable homes.”

There are lots of these kinds of districts.”

True.
But you can only control so much as a teacher.
The kids don’t even show up for school.
That’s why parents in these districts don’t send them there
They homeschool or private school

Knox and Martorano are AWFLs. Now deceased Caldwell-Johnson was black.

This is all becoming unbelievable. No country that I have ever been in (and that is a LOT) would allow the behaviors we are seeing here. They would NOT.

“Had a loaded gun (federal felony) and $3,000 cash with him.”

So, we no longer believe in the second amendment or the right to carry cash? Charge him with the things he did that are actual crimes.

We believe in the 2nd Amendment except in the case of a felon in possession of a firearm.

I also support stop and frisk for anyone walking the streets of New York, Chicago, Detroit, Philly etc because they are likely a felon and likely to be in possession of a firearm.

I also believe in expedited and public executions for certain crimes. Pay per view if possible.

That’s what “we” believe - my group of posters using this ID.

It will come down to marxist DEI hires.

My opinion is how he got hired is probably very similar to nearly all of the DEI hires did in the last 10 years.
I suspect if you follow the trail, they will all lead to the same location.

From what I read, the loaded gun carry IS a federal felony based on his immigration status. So would be an actual crime.

Any current Des Moines School Board members who were there in 2023 need to resign immediately and should face charges of malfeasance, misfeasance, and;/or nonfeasance as well as child endangerment. The Des Moines Public Schools website for Dr. Ian Roberts, Superintendent states in part:
"Dr. Ian Roberts was named the 15th Superintendent of the Des Moines Public School district, effective July 1, 2023. Roberts was chosen following an extensive nationwide search based on a leadership profile developed with input from the school board, teachers, families and others in the school community.

"Dr. Roberts came to Des Moines after serving as Superintendent of the Millcreek Township (PA) School District for three years, where his focus was culturally responsive, quality and equity-based instructional leadership that prepared every student for college or a career. Prior to that, he served as the St. Louis Public Schools (MO) High School Network Superintendent, where he coached, supported, and evaluated middle, high school and alternative school principals. His educational career also includes positions in Baltimore, MD, Washington D.C., South Bronx, NY, and across the country. While in the nation’s capital he was named the George Washington University’s 2013 Washington D.C. Principal of the Year."
If any of these claims are true there are other school boards who need to be investigated and members charged

Unfortunately, I see Des Moines heading the way of Minneapolis. Back in the day, you would see tons of cars in Chicago’s ghetto areas with MN. license plates. The reason was that “dude” would somehow obtain residency in Minnesota, particularly Minneapolis.

This was taking place because Minny had the best freebie benefits in the Midwest. After they devoured all the benefits and their returns started to dimmish, they blew out of town like the tornado’s that they are. Leaving a path of destruction in its wake.

The tornado next touched down in closest Midwest city to Chicago with the best freebies, Des Moines. Now you see several license plates in the hood bearing Iowa registrations.

They ruin everything. If they can’t eat it, drink it, smoke it or have sex with it, they ruin it (i.e. mailboxes, delivery robots, schools,,,)

Shampoo, rinse, repeat.

Is Des Moines that cheap that they have to hire an illegal alien toilet bowl cleaner to be their school superintendent?

They were enamored with the “first black superintendent” thing. The previous superintendent was a disaster and nearly lost his license, ending up with a formal reprimand in his record.

They overlooked a lot to hire the smiling, well dressed black guy.

>> Where’s the public record?

School boards have “closed sessions” wherein they discuss things like personnel decisions. No public participation, no public record.

News flash: school boards ALSO discuss in these closed meetings a LOT of things that by law they should be discussing in the open meeting.

And when they have to have an open meeting, use compliant local police officers as the board’s personal goon squad.
