I doubt internal strife in Israeli politics cause lax standards on the border for the troops. It was allowed to happen, it kicked off the “Final Solution” which is a weird thing for a Jew named Netanyahu to say.

If so, that's a political experiment which really exploded in their faces.
It actually worked exactly as planned because Hamas gave them the excuse they needed to level Gaza and turn it into a re$ort de$tination.
Additionally, it gives them the opportunity to demand that the United States and Europe accept all the displaced “Palestinians.”
Netanyahu has already made such noises.
And every single day since October 7th, the Israeli Leftists have cynically used Jewish cherishing of Life to beat Netanyahu over the head because HE has not returned the hostages home.
The leftists would happily LOSE the war to hamass so long as they can hang Netanyahu in the process. They care more about his political loss than the full existence of the State of Israel.
Leftists first, Jewish …. Never mind.
