I would imagine sadness from Rush for Charlie's family and the suffering they are going through.

Assuming Rush and Charlie aren't in the hot place (and only God knows that for sure), they have no sadness. Only joy because they now know the will of God and understand the roles they have played.

Pray for their souls and ask Christ to comfort Charlie's family.
