I would say the age of the movie theatre is slowly coming to an end.
I used to go regularly. I have been maybe 4 times in the past 5 years.
I dunno.
I'm kinda thinking perhaps the age of tolerating dysfunctional, antisocial black behavior might be coming to an end.
I haven’t been to a movie theater in at least 15 years.
I haven’t been inside a movie theater in 20 years. I have a large flat screen TV.
I’m not going into a movie theater where they got the volume turned up to the max
They got the drive-in theaters a long time ago...
I went the Home Cinema projector route long ago, but the new tv’s are as big as the projector screens now. I don’t want a 100” tv set up full time though.
Haven’t been in 20+ years...
Even prior to the COVID-1984 lockdowns, movie ticket sales dropped from the peak year of 2002 to 2019 by 22%.
The lockdowns accelerated the inevitable.

We have a six plex movie theater near here. I have been to it one time, to see the remake of True Grit(2010).
As I check the movie schedules I see two Superhero movies, a horror, a Si-Fi film, fantasy and a children’s film.
Nothing for adults even though they are rated “R” and PG-13.
I used to go to movies quite often, Haven’t since 2010.
I don’t even watch modern films on TV.
