I DO see the merit to calling Israel an ally. And other counties…Poland, Italy, and a few others also check that box.

I understand your point here, and it would be valid... if it were not for the fact that the precedent has already been laid. That “No Soup For You” ship has sailed and sunk. The only thing that can be done now is to limit giving a minimum amount of ‘necessary only’ aid to nations that truly are our friends and that are actually proving it vs. just “lip service”.
Right now, looking around the globe... except for Israel and a couple of other nations, I don’t see any country that is really America’s friend right now, due to their globalist/elitist/leftist leadership. IOW, no other nations worthy of our help, since they have done nothing against our enemies like Israel has done and is doing.
Is Israel looking out for itself in all of this. Of course. Why wouldn’t they? It’s just natural. At least Israel isn’t in the process of self-destruct and national suicide like Europe, Canada, etc. We have more in common with Israel than those other nations re: that aspect alone.

We all have issues with which we are unwavering. Nothing wrong with that. The problem is, we’re up against equally absolutist communists that seek to destroy us or take us over, and they’re not real particular which one happens.
I think we just have to hold fast to the issues that are most important. God, country (free, and as founded) and family.... in that order. Sadly, too many people, even non-leftists, put themselves as their first priority, with God and country and family dead last, if at all.
