Rubio has a couple of blemishes but the guy is a freaking Ninja as SOS and he b!tch slaps and guts reporters better than Trump. I dare say he’s matured well and learned from the 2016 election. Trump had a rough start a couple of times before he came down the escalator in 2015.

For me he ended his career when he ran as a tea party republican, then immediately hitched his wagon to Grahamnesty and McCain. If you recall, he was already the front runner for the next nomination before he used his popularity and support to try and sell us amnesty. His performance during this Trump administration has caused me to consider him again, but I still don’t trust him.

You are so right. There is no way he could ever win an election again after that moment. Or even serve in any capacity. Never mind that he won re-election twice after that, and is now serving as Secretary of State. But he absolutely destroyed his political career.
