California voters don’t like Governor Gavin Newsom’s and California Democrats’ redistricting plan. The POLITICO-Citrin Center-Possibility Lab survey found that Californians prefer keeping the independent panel by a nearly two-to-one margin, with just 36% of respondents backing the idea of returning redistricting authority to state lawmakers, even temporarily.

That is not how it works Constitutionally. It's the other way around: The States elect the President.
The Independant Commission is already a joke is why Republicans have so few seats in CA already. Now they want to kill the commission because of TX is just BS and everyone can see it.
