California Democrats Luis Alejo, Norma Torres, Roger Hernández, Nancy Skinner, Ricardo Lara, and Jerry Brown helped illegal alien Harjinder Singh to get a driver’s license before he made an illegal U-turn and killed 3 innocent people in Florida.

Those were the elected officials in California who introduced, sponsored, and signed Assembly Bill 60, which was inaccurately named the “Safe and Responsible Driver Act,” and which gave a driver’s license to illegal alien Harjinder Singh, who later made an illegal U-turn in Florida, and killed 3 innocent people in another vehicle.

Here’s video of the incident:

“”Fixed that for you.””

You fixed it for TigersEye. That was TigersEye’s quote. But yeah... that too.

“Then I’d hate to see the unsafe drivers.... “

Everything they label is always the exact opposite from what it is labeled. It is a standard MO absolutely set in stone...

The illegal that was going 100 mph through town and killed 2 girls in Urbana IL. Early January, still hasn’t even been formally charged yet.
You can go to the circuit clerk web site and read all the games his lawyer is playing.

Howz about a “Ten Democrat politicians killed for each person killed by an illegal alien. Double that amount for each one killed by an illegal alien helped by a loathsome, bottom-dwelling, totally deserving death DemocRAT. (Of course the additional description of “Democrat” is redundent.

I believe that a ‘nothing to lose’ club is needed and warranted for such instances of stupidity.

As someone who drove that stretch of the tollway many, many times, there is no way you could make that turn, even without traffic on either side of the road. The openings ostensibly designed for emergency vehicles are so tight that a semi would have to make repeated backing maneuvers to get through. That is so incompetent it's not bad judgement; it's the lack of any judgement. Sovereign immunity is a powerful protection for CA, but in this case, negligent entrustment may prevail.

What I have seen reported (not necessarily from CA though) is that non-English-speakers take the written test with the aid of a translation app on their phone. And apparently some agencies will accept fake papers re residency/work permit.

Friend who is in shipping for a local company says that drivers show up who don't speak English at all and have no idea how to handle the paperwork.

This is clearly a problem! A creative D.A. could come up with some charges - but it would have to be a Fed because a Cali D.A. won't touch it.

If a bar overserved him, they would be liable.
It should be the same as these tyrants, who facilitated the death of the 3 individuals.
Involuntary manslaughter, at minimum for each death.

I’m certain that is the case for a class c license, but I have never seen anything like that for a CDL.

While there have certainly been scandals of operators buying licenses, it is the exception, rather than the rule.

There is a problem with CDL operators not speaking or being fluent in English. President Trump recently signed an order requiring operators be fluent.

So far, there isn’t any indication the operator in this case was illegal, unlicensed, or purchased his license. My sense is he was a jerk who made an illegal maneuver. I see it every day.

I’m not defending licenses for illegals.

This was supposedly a CDL. No first hand knowledge though.

Only thing I know personally is that truck drivers show up at my friend's loading dock and can't write/read/speak English.

From a different article on a different thread ...

Florida State Troopers were able to obtain an arrest warrant for three counts of vehicular homicide. During the investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) alongside State Troopers discovered Singh had been in the U.S. illegally since 2018.

According to FLHSMV, Singh crossed the Mexico border illegally and had obtained a Commercial Driver's License in the state of California.

Also this post by FReeper atomic_dog helps clarify the "CDL" question.

According to FLHSMV, Singh crossed the Mexico border illegally and had obtained a Commercial Driver's License in the state of California

It's not a regular Commercial Driver's License. It's a Non-Domicile Commercial Driver's License. It's kind of like getting a Non-resident CCW from Virginia. CA DMV did some deal with Biden to hand them out all over country to people with little to non knowledge of big rig driving and little to no ability to speak English (itself a violation of Federal Law).

No one in California seems to know about this as there appears to be an embargo on reporting it (except for Breitbart). My wife didn't believe me when I told her. I'd would say OR-NV-AZ should set up checkpoints to check for them but it wouldn't work as CA handed these out like Halloween candy all over the country. A shame really as a CDL in CA for a resident is difficult to obtain to say the least. Other states need to do like Arkansas and conduct English proficiency tests at weigh stations with impediment and fines when caught.

Per the above, there were three people in the semi.

And the three dead, all adults, are not named.

Mr. President, I think you should tell Sec. Duffy to put the pedal to the metal on that.
