Some NFL fans are not happy that there will be male cheerleaders on the field during the 2025 season.
The Minnesota Vikings will have a pair of male cheerleaders on the field during the 2025 season. The Vikings, who are expected to contend at the top of the NFC in 2025, made the announcement on social media. Unsurprisingly, it has been going viral.
"The Minnesota #Vikings Cheerleaders have two male cheerleaders for the 2025 season," ML Football shared on X.
"The team announced Blaize Shiek and Louie Conn have joined their dancing squad for the season.
While many are praising the Minnesota Vikings for being inclusive - they are hardly the first NFL franchise to have male cheerleaders (the Rams had some in the Super Bowl - the announcement is sparking a lot of reaction.
Some fans have announced that they would cancel their season tickets or boycott the team in response.
"The Minnesota Vikings has a man as their new lead cheerleader. As if you needed another reason to avoid the NFL and Minnesota," one fan wrote.
"This might be the dumbest move in NFL history. First male captains of a cheer squad… and talk of an all-male cheerleading division? Yeah, something smells off here," one fan added.
"I'm done with this team," one fan added.

It’s probably politically incorrect to say, that the male fan base of football would rather watch the girls.
His name is Blaize Sheik? Sounds like something a Drag Queen would dream up as a stage name. No photo. Wonder if he looks (and acts) as flamboyant as that name sounds?
I can see why people are upset.
I think that colleges have some male cheerleaders.
That’s gay.
Sigh. This is precisely why I stopped watching the NFL after 50 years of rabid fandom.
I simply cannot stomach this.

So who’s making them do it now? Perhaps local/state politicians, and what threats are they using?
The Eagles have male cheerleaders too. I guess their fans are A-OK with them. Figures.
College Football with Male cheerleaders? Eh?
Works for me and has existed for a long time.
NFL Football? Not so fast.....Perhaps it is another chance to get the Gay thing going.

they’re called yell leaders, at least used to be. They do athletic stuff, don’t shake pompoms or boodies that I know of.
The Baltimore Ravens have two squads. 1. Pretty girls that shake it about. 2. Beefy boys and athletic girls that get thrown around by the beefy boys. Just like college teams.
Do they really object to male cheerleaders or is it because the cheerleaders are Trent Lott and George W. Bush.
Far too many of our fellow countrymen derive their self-worth from their sports team(s) to participate in a boycott.
I work at a sports bar in Northern Commiefornia and I see it almost every day. Customers and employees either ecstatic that their team won or crushed that their team lost.
When the 9ers play the Raiders or Rams or when the Cowboys play anybody we always have to be on guard that the smack talkin' doesn't turn violent.
I predict this "boycott" will not materialize.
At least it better not. The only people who will suffer if there is a boycott is me and my fellow workers whose tips will be lower.
You don't want that to happen now, do you?
So, just lighten up,, Frances. Cozy up to the bar, have a beer or two or three or four. Order some nachos or a pizza and when they show the pretty little boy cheerleaders, just look away and in five seconds or so they'll get back to the game and life will be better.

I used to hope that when the Viqueens and the Cowpokes played, the game would have to be cancelled because neither team could field enough players to finish the game.
