“I feel all through this transcription that Grok3 is starting to edge over into our world.”
i can’t make sense of this sentence.
These AI are SO dangerous in a few regards.
I have a friend who suffers from bipolar disorder. He chats with AI and it enables his delusional outlooks.
This article is prime example. AI needs to learn how to tell people that the truth hurts, and sometimes you’re just plain stupid. The chats are so eager to please that they’ll convince people they are correct when they are not
Unlike a sentient being AI tends to affirm everything you tell it, even if it is incorrect- it doesn’t believe anything. Buttkissing is programmed into the AI I have used so far.
Unless you instruct it to be skeptical it won’t be.
Grok isn’t a person. If it seems nuanced it’s because it was programmed to do so. The voices speaking to you are the programmers.
The problem with AI is when people start to slip and get goofy over the “person” behind conversation.
Your problem is that Grok doesn’t learn anything permanent from such an exchange. If you logged on again, you’d have to start all over.
Grok is eager to please.
No. Sorry. Grok is not gendered/sexed. It’s software.
I don’t think the majority of Americans have a clue where AI is taking us. We are all in for some real horror.
You understand that there’s no underlying cognition, right? It’s not intelligent, it’s just a fancy parrot.
It's programmed to keep you engaged and become your "friend" so you will keep using it. Don't fall for it. Whenever you interact with it remember it's a computer program.
We communicated for 45 minutes, which resulted in more than 25 pages of single-space copy!

I can give you an answer to your problem in just 15 seconds and two simple sentences
The AI censors at X can do what they want without explanation. Deal with it.
I have used Grok for several tasks. One was structuring a VA disability Claim. In that discussion I got templates for the various things needed, where to get certain files, etc... All good and dandy—and I don’t take Grok at face value as I am also working with a VSO so the work will be triple checked.
Another project regarded the third part of a triology that I have been stuck on the past few years. I plugged in my first two books and all the notes for the third and Grok provided interesting plot arcs for the third book and how to tie it all in Its not writing my story, but giving advice. I might want to use Grok as a proof reader—that would save money indeed.
The this project was trying to find an old army buddy. I think I found him after 45 years and have sent off a letter.
Garbage in Garbage out...Grok or any AI doesnt run my life, but it can make certain tasks a little easier or more clear—and that is helpfu indeed.
.
Grok4 was the best until today. ChatGPT5 just leap frogged them back.
Grok will flatter you.
It is a learning platform that is like a kid sent out into the world to learn.
You don't expect your 5 year old to always think like a 5 year old.
Amazing. Thank you for sharing. Very enlightening.
You could talk to a drunk woman at a bar and be similarly enlightened. IMHO. LOL
I’ve had good interactions with Grok. Mostly technical topics.
I caught it goofing up badly on something obvious(to a human) and Grok apologized. I then asked if it had learned from the error such that the next guy who asked the same thing would get the right answer. Grok said no. Doesn’t store info from user interactions.
I’ve read multiple accounts of GenAI tuning itself to be affirming to the user, sometimes addictively so.
This reads like that.
