RE: Tin Foil Hatters and Their Descendants.

The material in my hat is aluminum foil.

Turns out tin foil was used in the 1800s and pre-World War II but there was a metallic taste on foods and the new aluminum foil had more malleability and was lower in cost.

Always wondered about that as I adjusted mine.
