The classic rock group known as the Steve Miller Band has announced that they are canceling all remaining dates on their current tour because of the weather, or more specifically, the ‘extreme’ weather conditions brought about by climate change.
Rock and roll just isn’t what it used to be, apparently.
The group made the announcement on Twitter/X.

The band’s statement never mentions climate change. It only claims, if one can call it a claim, a series of bad weather, fires, etc.
Maybe Miller has “pantophobia”, brought on by our news media.
Well, I suppose that’s almost as bad as canning the tour by blaming climate change...

I can believe that. We had a shower today and afterward the humidity was horrendous. When I went outside, it felt like I was a vegetable being steamed. Next week is forecast to be worse (similar humidity but even hotter). I really don’t mind it during the day as much as the evening, when ya’ go out and can hardly breathe.
One of our local NWS forecasters refers to it as “disgusting” humidity.
The place to be is swimming in a pool or nice lake / stream, not playin’ rock ‘n roll under the lights (even if they are now LED’s!)
I guess that rocking and midnight smoking has caught up with the morons.
