Why Oh WHY Would Democrats Refuse to Use Winsome Earle-Sears' Name? Oh, Wait ... THAT'S Right
Twitchy ^ | July 13, 2025 | Sam J.

I [the Twitchy writer] should probably warn you all now, from here on out, I will be beating the drums and sounding the alarm about the upcoming elections here in Virginia this coming November. Virginia is unique in that we run in odd years, and our governors can only serve one term at a time. So, while I'd love to see another four years from Youngkin, he cannot run this time around. Luckily, we have Winsome Earle-Sears as our nominee, who has played an integral part in Youngkin's successes here in the Sic Semper Tyrannis state.

And the fact that not only our state Democrats but the national Democratic Party refuses to say her name tells me everything I need to know about how much she terrifies them. Considering they are the party known for running on identity, the fact that the first female black governor in the COUNTRY will be a Republican is eating them up from the inside out.

Case in point:

The GOP’s nominee for Virginia governor said Trump’s budget bill, which cuts Medicaid by over $1 trillion, does “so many great things.” [underlining added]

In Virginia, 1 in 5 people rely on Medicaid.
— Democrats (@TheDemocrats) July 10, 2025

Of course, this is misleading AF since they not only left out what Winsome said but didn't bother to point out that Northam expanded Medicaid in 2018 to include able-bodied Virginians. Not to mention all of the illegals who happen to qualify for the entitlement as well, magically.

***

Ironically, the only thing standing in the way of the first female black governor in the country is a privileged, wealthy, white, Democrat woman. ...

The Democrats are in trouble in this election:

Their candidate is an AWFL.

The number of foreign invader illegal voters is shrinking.

The number of Democrat swamp creatures in the Virginia suburbs of DC is shrinking.

Governor Youngkin's administration is making vote fraud harder to commit.

The Democrat brand in toxic: Quinnipiac University Poll (June 5–8, 2025) Approval of Congressional Democrats: 21% of all voters approve, 70% disapprove.
Among Democrats: 41% approve, 53% disapprove.
Details: This poll, surveying 1,039 registered voters, shows historically low approval for congressional Democrats, matching an all-time low since Quinnipiac began tracking in 2009. The disapproval among the party’s own base highlights internal frustration, possibly due to leadership decisions like supporting GOP-led legislation.

The leftist media does not want voters to know she is a woman, and they absolutely don’t want us to know she is black. And God forbid they should give her airtime to speak in her own words. Their mission is to ensure Deep State Spanberger is elected.

Appreciate your optimism but black conservatives have consistently lost statewide elections. Herschel Walker, Alan Keyes, the woman in AZ, Daniel Cameron, John James etc. Tim Scott was appointed. How many times do we have to get our asses kicked before we figure this out? Black conservatives won’t attract any blacks to vote for them, and some whites cross party lines and vote for the white Democrat.

As awful as the Dem is, she has good ads. Earle-Sears needs to get working on hers.

Spansberger kept winning even though Trump was more than competitive in her house district. Same with Golden in Maine. This time former governor LePage is taking him on. At least we’re going with the heavy hitter.

Their candidate is an AWFL.

Their candidate is ex-CIA. You know how this is going to go. Really late at night. In Fairfax.

Appreciate your optimism but black conservatives have consistently lost statewide elections.

It seems they can win statewide elections for Lt. Governor spots but that's about it.

Both Winsome Earle-Sears and Mark Robinson in neighboring North Carolina were elected for these token deputy positions. Robinson, of course, got clobbered when he ran for the top spot in 2024 and things aren't looking good for Earle-Sears right now.

So, your point still stands. We keep repeating this same pattern in the south and it almost never works out for us.

No one ever ran a four-minute mile until someone did. Pessimism is a losing philosophy. Hard work toward a desired goal is a winning philosophy. Stop whining and start working.

Tim Scott was appointed, but he was subsequently elected and reelected to his Senate seat. So there’s that.

JC Watts in Oklahoma and right now Byron Donalds. He may be the next Governor of Florida.

VA - Another state that needs prayer for upcoming elections.

God did it in 2024.

He can do it at the state level.

Here in NH we got Kelly Ayotte over the democrat.

The first campaign I worked for was Kenneth Blackwell, OH gov. 2006. Yeah, not so good. The Dems tore him up.
