I used to have my office in Reno, NV across the parking lot from the Peppermill casino.
And every few days I would go into the food court at the casino to buy a coffee or espresso.
My change from the coffee drink always contained a quarter, which I
dutifully dropped into a slot machine on the walk back out to my office.
Once I actually won $110!
Once getting back to the office, I figured out how much I had spent on coffee
and food in that food court over the previous year, and it was a lot more than $110!
