Here is my read:
—President Trump likes Pam Bondi and cuts her a lot of slack, even when she makes mistakes
—Bondi has some major weaknesses
1. She loves mass media attention
2. She is prone to making public statements when she does not have the receipts to back up those statements
3. She wanted to be the great “heroine” in the Epstein matter. It was critical to her identity as a successful woman with this important job.
4. She does not like to admit when she has made mistakes.
5. She will get legalistic or even lie in order to avoid such admissions.
6. She will throw other people under the bus to make herself look good.
7. Whatever is in the Epstein files will not match her previous public statements and will make her look like a fool.
8. Therefore she is the one who is against full disclosure.
President Trump is trying to save her from humiliation and as a result he signed off on the “case closed, no evidence” approach.
If President Trump gives up on her (fires her) then the DOJ can get transparent on the Epstein case and we will see what they have.
Various rumors about Dan. He has quit. Ready to quit. Wanted more info out and Bondi refused. he hasnt been there since Wednesday etc.
If trump sides with Bondi I think Dan leaves. This is sort of like a bridge too far which also happened to Musk. I think Patel continues on even though he might be mad
I still dont understand why she just wont release EVERYTHING..what harm does it do her..just release what you have, if its new info, if its old info who cares, just release it and thats it..dont just say “Oh nothing more to see here moving on” this is hurting her, it makes it look like she’s hiding something..then the next day the Comey and Brennan being under investigation, yeah Im thrilled but I doubt it amounts to anything but it was more like “Here maga base, we threw you a bone happy now now forget about Epstein” that is how it appeared to me
I don’t believe President Trump would Bondi go rogue - she’s saying what he wants her to say.
So that leaves two possibilities: What she’s saying is true, or she’s hiding something and President Trump wants it that way.
I think it’s a combination:
1) There are thousands of hours of child-porn video, but while the identities of the pedophiles are hidden - they do expose the victims’ faces - in which case releasing it to the public would bring no justice or accountability - only added pain, suffering and humiliation to the victims. Bondi: “This is nothing but disgusting child porn and will never see the light of day”.
2) There are lists of Epstein contacts, associates and even clients, but does anyone really believe there would have been a list called “Epstein’s pedophilia clients”? Of course not, so releasing these lists to the public - just as with the videos - brings no justice or accountability - only the guarantee of damage to any innocent parties who had associations with Epstein - who will now be “guilty by association”.
3) I think the explanation for the bungled big promises and backtracking is this: when Biden was in the White House, it was good politics for candidate Trump to say -“release everything, expose the coverups and corruption”.
As soon as he got back in the White House, the hyperbole was replaced with a sober evaluation of pros and cons… collateral damage.. revealing sources and methods… and an honest assessment of what evidence they actually had.
I’m a huge fan of President Trump, and I think he’s WAY above average in keeping his promises. But everyone makes campaign promises they can’t keep.
Remember - he was going to end the Unraine war on day one.. I don’t blame him for not being able to do it - my point is that when you get into the trenches, only then do you learn what your options are.
This makes Trump look like he’s on the LIST that DOESN’T EXIST!!
