Why would the so-called “Supreme Leader,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, of the war torn Country of Iran, say so blatantly and foolishly that he won the War with Israel, when he knows his statement is a lie, it is not so. As a man of great faith, he is not supposed to lie. His Country was decimated, his three evil Nuclear Sites were OBLITERATED, and I knew EXACTLY where he was sheltered, and would not let Israel, or the U.S. Armed Forces, by far the Greatest and Most Powerful in the World, terminate his life. I SAVED HIM FROM A VERY UGLY AND IGNOMINIOUS DEATH, and he does not have to say, “THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP!” In fact, in the final act of the War, I demanded that Israel bring back a very large group of planes, which were heading directly to Tehran, looking for a big day, perhaps the final knockout! Tremendous damage would have ensued, and many Iranians would have been killed. It was going to be the biggest attack of the War, by far. During the last few days, I was working on the possible removal of sanctions, and other things, which would have given a much better chance to Iran at a full, fast, and complete recovery - The sanctions are BITING! But no, instead I get hit with a statement of anger, hatred, and disgust, and immediately dropped all work on sanction relief, and more. Iran has to get back into the World Order flow, or things will only get worse for them. They are always so angry, hostile, and unhappy, and look at what it has gotten them - A burned out, blown up Country, with no future, a decimated Military, a horrible Economy, and DEATH all around them. They have no hope, and it will only get worse! I wish the leadership of Iran would realize that you often get more with HONEY than you do with VINEGAR. PEACE!!!
What Trump said reminds me of the symbol for the Strategic Air Command. It is an iron fist with an olive branch and lightning bolts.
The implication is clear, choose wisely.
That stuck out to me too. Not good.
Have an Iranian collegue who was a leftist student in the 1970’s in Iran. He always made the point that the elites and intelligentsia in Iran despite the modernization and progress made under the Shah, thought the Shah to be illegitimate and corrupt. They blamed America for deposing an elected leftist government in 1953 and blamedAmerica for installing this Shah. They like the Russian elites and intelligenstia 80 years earlier supported the revolutionaries. What astounded my collegue is that he and his fellow student “revolutionaries” never in a thosand years thought their “revolution” would lead to rule by the mullahs and a defacto theocracy. BTW he also laments that like the Russian elites, almost all of the Iranian elite supporters of the revolution are dead, imprisoned, impoverished or are exiles. Yet this guy will never admit he was wrong about anything.
“ They are always so angry, hostile, and unhappy, and look at what it has gotten them”
Trump states things clearly and concisely.
Other politicians don’t or can’t.
I question that number, but don't doubt that that's all they'd have done as another religious despot filled the void.
Oh yes he is! He is to do anything possible to advance the causes of Islamism, specifically to include deception.
bkmk
I agree. Killing the Ayatoilet would have just brought Trump down to the level of those who wish to kill Trump.
God has Trump’s ear! In more ways than one!
How?
It would appear that the real power in Iran now, is with the military leadership. Maybe that’s the way it always has been. But the hardline generals, whose agenda was in synch with the agenda of the Ayatollah, seem to have lost much of their influence (and their lives in many instances). I suspect that the Ayatollah is now more of a figure head than he was a month ago and that he holds little real power now. But he still retains some stature among many Iranian citizens so the new military leadership still needs to deal with him delicately.
The Ayatollah is no longer calling the shots, but he still wields enough political power to be a nuisance. The goal for the military leadership will be to marginalize him over time. That’s my take anyway.
i think Trump was too quick on the ceasefire
yes
the dems and islam
by any means necessary
I doubt you'll disagree.
I hate to say I about my hero but BS! The Koran explicitl mandates lying when it promotes Islam or Islamic leaders. Everyone knows the name for that b now, spelled usually "taquia" in English transliteration. Islam shares little with other religioiins about things like murder and truthtelling. Anything done to subvert, deceive, or kill those who are not faithful Moslems is warranted.
Sounds like he is describing Europe and Canada
Yep there is a new one
Pretty sure that was sarcasm....
Typical leftist.
Yes it is BS. But then Trump is engaged in a semi-public negotiation and is trying to give the Ayatollah a face-saving out. Taken literally, Trump’s statement is incorrect. But as a negotiating move it may make sense.
