The fact is Hoffman and his wife were shot, one eight times and the other nine times and they both survived, some shot the perp was. Then he goes and kills Hortman and her husband. Hoffman and Hortman were avowed abortionists and this the probable reason they were targeted. The so called hit list may not be released to the public until the trial.
Avowed abortionists are run-of-the-mill in the DFL. What singles these 2 out is that they JUST voted to make illegals ineligible to receive Minnesotacare (Medicaid for Minnesotans). Hortman had said that going against her party to vote for this bill felt like having a gun to her head. She said the DFL was trying to make everybody who voted for the bill feel terrible and they were effective at that. She was the only democrat who voted for it and it passed by 1 vote.
So this guy takes a 2-year-old list and shoots one person on the list and another who wasn’t even on the list - unless the original list had his name but it wasn’t typed onto this list because law enforcement didn’t need to try to protect him any more. This is why we really need to see the original list.
Also, the cops are saying that they can’t really tell from the “manifesto” what his motivation was. Makes me think this wasn’t really a “manifesto” at all, maybe just rambling that wasn’t about the attack specifically. If this was really about abortion I think he’d have been using language that would be pretty easy to understand, especially if the list of abortion providers was actually a hit list.
