During a press conference with multiple SoCal officials, including Bass, Ventura City Deputy Mayor Doug Halter took to the podium and immediately accused Trump of launching a “terrorism attack” on LA while whining about the impact on the community.
“This is absolutely unconscionable; (regarding) what’s going on,” Halter began. “I never thought in my life that I would be seeing this sort of disruption, this sort of terrorism attack on our citizens…”
“Everything that impacts one part of our community impacts all of us,” he added. “And to see this coming from our own country…It’s just unconscionable.”
Halter then issued a plea for amnesty for illegal aliens as an alternative ‘solution’ instead of letting ICE carry out the immigration laws.
“This has got to stop,” he stated. “We have been asking for comprehensive immigration reform for at least 30 years. If you really want to be a hero, get on it and get it done.”
Halter closed his rant by issuing what some may consider a threat.
“And leave our people alone ’cause we will fight!” he barked.

“our people?” “our citizens?”
They are trespassers...border jumpers...scofflaws
They are not OUR people. They are outside criminals who invaded the USA !
This insurgency focused fool should be arrested ASAP. The only thing he has ever “fought” is his persistent malignant BO.
Whatever the communists accuse you of is in fact exactly what they themselves are doing.
That’s absolutely correct!
Yet another gem for Republican commercials ... if they have the balls to use it.
I left Ventura in the late '90s and never looked back. Sadly, I fear the leftward political shift has completely changed my hometown—and I’m not referring to the Pacific Ocean. I always tell my friends, "California is a great place to visit, but..."
Now, I’m starting to wonder if even that still holds true.
This may be a partial explanation: Thomas Aquinas once said that “impurity inevitably leads to violence.”
Exactly!
