Wow! 9-0, too!
Of course it's discrimination. The only thing that surprises me is that it was 9-0 and not 6-3 or 5-4 (Roberts).
And it affirms something that I've been saying for a LONG time: You'll never end discrimination by discriminating.
The ‘22-’23 SCOTUS session had 75% unanimous rulings.
It was only unanimous because Brown didn’t want to be the lone holdout again.
“It is being sent back down to be retried.”
As it should be.
9-0? I guess it depends on the day. Do these people realize how close everything is to just falling apart?
It’s always been so...Why did this take so long.
I hit a wall in a big company because I was white and male.
Best thing that ever happened to me. I got together with several of the other disgruntled engineers that were white (or Asian) and we started our own company.
We’re now far larger than the company that discriminated against us.
Any attempt to prove (or disprove?) discrimination shall use a same standard. While it’s true that it doesn’t forbid DEI, it opens the door for whites or straights or males to bring any’different treatment’ at their working place and demand that the same yardstick is used for everyone.
Great. But now that I’m already retired, how do I get compensated for the promotions I never received despite being better qualified, and a person of color or of the opposite sex got put ahead of me in line?
Will mothers still advise their children about “stranger/danger” ?
I have a variation on the same story.
Some of the passed over skilled white guys in our company were grabbed for a “crisis team” that lasted for more than a decade.
We had to fix issues that baffled the DEI managers—and the bosses had to fix them or go out of business.
I am hoping there is fear of a patriotic group of citizens demanding Justice as promised in the preamble of our constitution before citizens start studying another document which states in part: "We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice..."
This should help the lawsuits filed by white and Asian students.
Amen
Good to hear. At least SCOTUS as a whole understands the definition of “discrimination” unlike the SCOTUS nutter who didn’t know the definition of “woman” but still became a member of SCOTUS.
“ So where does an entire generation of white men who have been denied earned promotions go to be made whole?”
Class action lawsuit against every company a white male applied for and the job was given to a DEI hire.
Common sense. At least it used to be. Now it’s rare sense.
You mean "REPARATIONS?"
I also want my 50 years of taxes refunded to me for all of the bullshit that was spent on this kind of crap.
I love winning.
