President Trump won the 2024 election in a landslide, winning the US Presidency with 312 electoral votes, all of the battleground states, the popular vote, the US House of Representatives, The US Senate and 2750 counties across the country.
Americans overwhelmingly voted for President Donald Trump and his agenda.
Unfortunately, this means nothing to the US GOP-controlled House and US GOP-controlled Senate.
According to Amuse and Leading Report on X the current GOP-controlled Congress sent fewer bills to President Trump to sign into law than any Congress in 70 years!
That is quite a record!
@amuse @amuse
DO NOTHING CONGRESS: There are so many RINOs and NeverTrumpers in Congress that almost nothing can pass. This Congress has sent fewer bills to Trump than and Congress in 70 years. Would better leadership help or are the anti-Trump Republicans just too powerful?

I’m not sure the number of discrete bills passed is a problem. As long as they roll up the right stuff into the great big bill for reconciliation amount on July 4th, I’ll be good with it.
Trump has resorted to a slew of EOs because the Congress will do nothing. Trump knew in advance.
Is this going on, due to Mitch McConnell still being around?
It sounds like organized resistance and needs to be called out asap, before all the sands sift through the GOP fingers.
At this point, the only bills I want to see passed are ones that undo previous excesses and/or reduce spending.
Would have helped a bit if Republicans had kept their eye on the ball during Election Night (and after) so as to challenge some of the lower-level STEALS taking place. Instead, they were too busy popping beers because Trump won.

You’re absolutely correct, Bob. California is an example. They let winnable districts slip away after election day.
You do know Dem votes are needed to break the filibuster in the Senate, right? All the Pubs can do is reconciliation bill without Dem help.
How did the Democrats manage to beat these numbers in the previous Congress—with the filibuster in the Senate and a Republican House....?
So change the rules.
Either make them get up there and filibuster or just do away with it
No.
It is going on because the Imaginary FR GOP is just that - an imaginary "opposition" that actually agrees with the Democrats on all important points and disagrees with Trump and his team on all important points.
No progress can be made until you recognize the GOP for what it is, not what you imagine it to be.
Spineless weaklings.
Uniparty gonna uniparty.
I have a new congressman and I’m on his mailing list.
Will contact his office and ask what the heck is going on. His first year in office, so it’s not his fault. I do look at him with some hope for his future, seems to have a lot of the right stuff.
Aka, The Uniparty?
I was hoping the age of MAGA would stomp the gizzards out of that Uniparty for the foreseeable future.
On the bright side.... the fewer bills they pass, the less we peasants get screwed.
I have been noticing that congress has been doing just about nothing. And whenever they are about to do something then Johnson shuts it down.
Everyone else is a member of the uniparty. The GOP had to support Trump's agenda somewhat because they are trying to get reelected. That's the only reason.
Exactly the same (or worse) than trumps first term. I never want to hear these pretenders campaigning and telling us on all my favorite shows what they want to do once they are voted into office. Screw all these politicians. Gutless POS’s……..z
Ending the filibuster is a profoundly NON CONSERVATIVE idea.
Conservatism opposes government involving itself in our lives.
The more obstacles to more government laws of any kind, the better.
We are very lucky to have the filibuster. Without it, we would have an avalanche of anti gun laws, federal laws codifying LBGTblahblah agenda . . . we would have everything only GOP filibuster prevented over the past 4 years.
And remember when the Dems proposed killing the Filibuster? Only Simena and Manchin prevented that from happening. Now we can only hope for a similar handful of GOP senators to vote against the same thing.
Filibuster is good. It is more than good.
