Question: What's the price of gas where you're at? Has it gone below $2.00 already?

From what I’ve read, that’s because of the tariff war with Canada. It WAS cheaper & more efficient to get fuel from Canada to the Midwest than having it shipped in from Texas.

Good point about bringing the price current. So, in real terms, gas at 19¢ was about half the price that lots of Americans are paying today.

But that 19¢ price was a momentary gas war. Prices hovered in the mid 20¢ range at the time (as I recall). Then the OPEC curtailments really socked us in 1973.

The Biden Inflation we just went through saw prices go up 30% in less than two years.

Honestly, gasoline today is still a real bargain at $3.50 to $4.00 a gallon. It’s amazing that it has stayed that low without building a new refinery in 50 years and all the fossil fuel antagonism of Democrats.

I haven’t paid attention to prices at most stations around here because they don’t sell real gas. Prices could be different from where I buy my gas. Fortunately, that station is only a mile or less from the house.

Though high, our prices never got as bad as they did in several states. The highest I paid was $5.27 during the summer of ‘21.

dems have a lock on the fuel... and will continue to do so... to deny trump supporters any talking points.

they are also collecting fees and bribes and shifting cost trends... so at to delay, defer and deny any progress...

if there were a 60 cent retail drop in delivered fuel... to the tank per gallon, the downward pressure on inflation would super heat the economy, like the afterburners on an F-14.
