He won't get the credit for it in much of the media but President Donald Trump might have prevented South Asia from turning into a radioactive wasteland by brokering a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
The ceasefire was broken hours after it was announced. India and Pakistan have both had nuclear weapons since the 70s/80s, and they've had multiple military battles since then too. The nuclear weapons ensure that things don't get out of hand, if anything.
