She's what "investigative reporters" of old were like. They walked the streets to look for stories, talked to people, and pushed hard to get all the facts. Katherine Herridge is an excellent investigative journalist. She doesn't report anything until she has the evidence to make the connections. She's been around long enough, and is known for her work, and she has a lot of connections and sources to get what she needs. Laura hasn't been at it that long, but if she sticks at it, she'll gather her own group of people she can trust to get her the information she needs. The media of today is lazy. I think people see Laura as pushy, and bad-mouth her because of that. But unless you put yourself out there, and dig as deep as you can, sometimes even making a pest of yourself, you're not going to get the information you need, and especially not by sitting behind a desk.
