BFL...I can imagine there are circumstances where someone might not know their car had been keyed, thought it was a scratch, etc.

The driver might not frequent the Internet, and never saw this come up.

But the plate is there. I wonder how many saw this video and called the police, only to be given some line about “The owner of the car has to call” or something like that.

The video was recorded by the Tesla's cameras while it was in Sentry mode. The owner had to make a copy of the video and either put it on the Interwebs themselves or had somebody do it for them.

So how did we see the video in the first place if it was not posted by the pissed off Tesla owner? Remember, that camera was from the Tesla in Sentry Mode.

That very well could be a felony. More than $1000 in damages. Someone know California law on destructive of private property
