I had OpenAI 4o examine the large photo from NASA and it found no indication that it has been manipulated. I then asked it to run a detailed analysis of the smaller image taken from the NASA image to see if it was manipulated after being taken from the original photo.

Here's the results of that analysis:

The analysis does not show clear evidence of heavy digital manipulation, such as object insertion or removal. However, Error Level Analysis (ELA) suggests possible digital alterations, which could be due to compression artifacts rather than intentional tampering.

The Fourier Transform analysis indicates a consistent frequency pattern, meaning no obvious artificial edits. If tampering is suspected, comparing this image with an original uncompressed version would provide a more definitive answer.
