Congressman Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) has died at the age of 77 after suffering complications with his cancer treatment. A staunch open borders advocate, Grijalva served for over 21 years in the House of Representatives and rose to become a powerful figure in the Democrat Caucus.
Many other outlets also now reporting.
Becker and Rivas ran in 2022.
You think Becker and Rivas will not be candidates for the vacancy?
He was still sending angry Trump tweets from his phone after his death.
The Republicans will likely pick up 2 more seats following the special elections on April 1st, so Speaker Johnson will have some "breathing room" to deal with individuals like Massie.
Thx.
Grijalva becomes a good Democrat.
Your forbearance is admirable.
Yes, the perfect example, isn’t it? That was such a classic line by President Reagan.
I’d love to get a trifecta — maxine is 86
Asterisks mine.
This clown is going to keep fighting—trying to get zombies through the border into our dimension.
Lol.
Grijalva was a constant driving force behind the invasion of illegals. Early on he had the ear of President Bush, McCain, then Obama and many others. He was relentless in convincing many that to support enforcing our laws against illegal immigration was absolute racism. When rancher Rob Krentz was murdered by illegals while working on his ranch, Grijalva took advantage of the response to that situation to make it somehow a racist persecution of illegals.
Grijalva was also a very outspoken and vile about J6. He was an effective activist.
Special election or will the governor/legislature assign an interim replacement?
Special election, according to the law (of which, the governor has shown in the past, compliance is optional).
