Newly obtained records from the Texas House Business Office confirm that Hugh Brady, the former parliamentarian of the Texas House, continues to receive the same six-figure taxpayer-funded salary he earned in his previous role despite not being reappointed this session.
Brady, a longtime Democrat lawyer, was not reappointed as parliamentarian by Speaker Dustin Burrows. However, he remains actively involved in House proceedings under the new title of “parliamentary counsel.”

The LBJ whole is very deep and very dangerous.
It will take a long time to fill that hole
The rats have effective control over the Texas House. The rino’s allied with the dems and that is who runs the House.
Ping!
This sad betrayal is directly attributable to the dying Bush Crime Family.
You have no idea
I hope all the Rinos get censured and removed from running for the next session.
A ping out to the Texas Ping list, founded by Windflier.
Another story of back scratching, double dealing and downright meanness! Lawyers hire back one of their own and pay him more than the guvner.
Another special Texas spring edition for your perusal.
As always, please FReepmail me if you want on or off the Texas Ping list.
Blessings, and stay cool!

They’re hypocrisy only goes so far. Texas needs a DOGE on steroids.
He is clearly a grifter. Texas should get rid of him. He is being paid more than $4,000 a week.
Is this role needed, and is he compensated excessively for it? A Texas version of DOGE should look at that.
What did this person accomplish last week? Last month? Could it have been done elsewhere at a more taxpayer friendly rate?
If this is a partisan role, then whatever party is involved should fund it fully.
The Texas House is a mess. The speaker sets the agenda & we keep getting weak knee’d RiNOs.
It’s time to fix the glitch.
Behold, the uniparty even in Texas.
