Would not surprise me if these were the same sort of people who had Tom DeLay taken down as well.

Burrows and his supporters promised they would not share power with the Democrats. But they did it anyway.

This is the same Republican-controlled House that voted a resolution to impeach Ken Paxton on unfounded charges.

In May 2023, the Republican-led Texas House impeached highly popular Attorney General Ken Paxton over allegations of misconduct. The 20 articles include “bribery, unfitness for office and abuse of public trust.”

I’d be interested to know how many properties these people own, and if they acquired them at the beginning of their political careers, when the cartels typically buy their govt agents.

WOW!

Leave it up to a gaggle of RINOs to snatch defeat from the hands of victory and make themselves controlled opposition.

But...but...It’s just Austin that votes for the left! Lmao. The red states are falling, and fast. California, Colorado...Texas is next.

Any chance these Texas Democrats are wise and shifting Right in their policies?

I am beside myself with anger. Why can’t my supposedly Republican legislature actually take charge of the legislating process, after all that’s what they were elected to do. They were NOT elected to hand off power to the Democrats.

I would suggest that the reason why the Texas legislature has been consistently acting in this way over the last decade or more is for the exact same reason that Congress has been acting the way it has for the last several decades: corruption. Now that Elon Musk is a Texas resident, maybe the governor could persuade him to do for Texas what he is doing for this country, once he is done tearing apart all the corruption and wasteful spending emanating out of Washington.

Once upon a time Texas Democrats were way more conservative than Northeastern Republicans.

They don’t care about any constituents. They’re just there to grab cash.

This is what happens when a State has open primaries.

As I understand it, a Democrat can ask for a Republican ballot when they vote in the Primary Election.

Until the Texas GOP changes their Primary Election Rules, the Uniparty will continue controlling Texas.

The purpose of this is to dissuade voters from actually voting in the future.

Make it look hopeless and frustrating.

Make it seem “What’s the use of voting if they just do this over and over again?”.

That way they maintain power.................

The only reason to reach across the aisle to Democrats is to grab them by the neck and choke them to death.

We think of Florida as a red, red state and forget that in the state legislature there are many Rinos just like in Texas.

Some say Gov. DeSantis has had an easy time pushing conservative legislation because of the R legislature. Let's not kid ourselves - probably half the Rs in the legislature will be glad to see DeSantis gone so they can hook up again with the Disney handouts and the old Charlie Crist agenda.
