She was fired. It was not a voluntary resignation. She was directed to stop the Eric Adams care that was launched when he spoke out against the Biden/Kamala open border.
She refused and responded with and assaholic lecture that there was no basis to drop charges, her prosecutors agreed with her, and that if Trump wants to end the case, he can pardon him. She took no action to end the case, as ordered.
She was notified that “Your resignation is accepted”, referring to her insubordination and refusal to follow orders from the President, relayed by the Deputy AG.

If you are a US Attorney Trump appoints, you accept the position knowing that a new administration will replace you. It’s nothing personal or part of some grand conspiracy.

I am really really really hoping that somewhere out there is good hearted human, who worked his way high up into the stinkier ranks of the swamp, and who remembers the America we grew up in, and is willing to come forward and “flip” to our side and publicly dump lots of dirt and evidence on a lot of bad people.....
