Having served a rotation as a mortuary affairs officer, certain things were scrubbed. For example, we made sure pornographic materials (video and magazines - I don’t know how they handle personal computers nowadays) were not sent back to the family with the deceased’s personal effects.

I've been working in the Navy helicopter community for over 20 years.

I can assure you that nobody in the cockpit is talking about politics during a night vision currency training flight.
